"Leaders place the pupils' wellbeing at the forefront of their work." ISI Report, 2026.
Sherborne Prep is delighted to share their latest ISI Report, following our inspection in January. The Report's wording is hugely positive - as well as meeting all the ISI standards required, at the highest level, the report recognises our school's "warm and caring relationships with pupils" and how this "results in pupils being recognised and respected at school, which develops their confidence as integral members of the school community."
The Report describes how teachers give "pupils confidence to contribute, collaborate and learn from one another. Teachers manage classrooms calmly and sensitively, promoting respectful behaviour and high expectations. This results in focused learning environments in which pupils can learn without distraction."
The report also praises Sherborne Prep's "emotionally secure and stimulating environment", our " broad curriculum that reflects high standards for the pupils' learning" and our boarding where pupils enjoy a "caring and secure experience."
Annie Gent, Head of Sherborne Prep, said "I am delighted that this ISI Report is so positive, it is testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing teachers and support staff. I am perhaps most proud of the positive comments made about our pupils' kindness and thoughtfulness, that they " are immersed in the expectations for them to be kind and thoughtful individuals....displaying respectful behaviour in the way that they listen to each other, help those in need and are courteous in their interactions with others."
